Seton Melvin - New York City Brain Donor Program Leader
Seton Melvin is a respected presence in the New York City community who directs the Brain Donor Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. At Mount Sinai Medical Center for more than two decades, Seton Melvin has overseen the first facility nationwide for studying brains that have suffered clinically documented injuries.
A graduate of Williams College in Massachusetts, she began her career in commercial lending with Chemical Bank in New York. While Vice President and Department Head of the Construction Lending Department at Mitsubishi Bank, US, she originated loans totaling $2 billion .
Ms. Melvin has a strong sense of community commitment and is a longtime PBS supporting donor for programs such as American Master Series and the Christianne Amanpour Nightly Newshour. Seton Melvin is also active with the Metropolitan Museum of Art Directors Group, MASS MoCA, and sponsoring challenge grants for women alumni at Williams College.Experience
